Creating a request
Learn how to create a request to import data from REST APIs into your Notion database.
A request is a saved configuration that tells Otera how to get data from a specific API and how to save it in your Notion database.
Before you begin
Create a request
- Connect to Notion
- Click Connect to Notion
- Connect your Notion account and database
- Learn more about connect your Notion to Otera
- Set request options
- Set your request method, request URL, and other options
- Map database fields
- Choose what fields from the API response gets saved, and where in your Notion database they should get saved to
- Learn more about mapping database fields
- Set output options
- Choose how your data gets imported, e.g.
- whether this the API request should run once or run for each row in your database
- whether imported data should append to your table or overwrite existing data
Run the request
- After you have filled in all the steps, click Run request
- Wait for the request to complete
- If there are no errors, you should see a success confirmation:
Schedule the request
If you have a pro account, you can also schedule this request to automatically run in the future at recurring intervals.
